Arrive in Romania’s capital city, Bucharest and get to grips with the local culture with a quick language lesson. Get to know your fellow tiptoe travelers during our traditional meet-up dinner. The next morning, drive to Transylvania to Poienari Citadel, Dracula’s real castle and cross the through the Carpathian Mountains on the impressive Transfagarasan Road. The next day, explore the rural region of Sighisoara during a horse riding excursion, followed by a visit to an ancient oak tree reserve. Taste local food at a local market. Romania is home to an estimated 6000 bears; on the fourth day of your trip, you will have the chance to observe bears in their natural habitat. Spend the rest of the day and evening exploring the heart of one of the most vivid city of Transylvania; Brasov. The next morning, grab your mountain hiking shoes and spend the day in the Natural Parc Bucegi, which you will explore during a bike tour. Don’t miss the Sphinx, a huge natural rock formation in shape of a human face. End your journey discovering the beautiful fauna and flora of the Danube Delta, Europe’s largest wetland.
